I’m a textile artist and I love other traditional craft techniques like stonemasonry, wood carving, ceramics and metal smithing. Stonework in particular inspires my felt work where I can imitate the carving but in a soft form. I am especially interested in the designs used in early English church carvings and Saxon metal work.

As a working costume maker I also enjoy making costume based pieces as part of my personal work. The occasional foray in making a piece of clothing based on the bodices of the past is not unusual.
